Families are Talking: Why It’s Important to Talk About Sexual Orientation
This edition of SIECUS’ Families are Talking newsletter acknowledges that young people receive messages about sexual orientation from various sources and encourages parents and caregivers to engage their children on these topics by dispelling myths, challenging stereotypes, and expressing the idea that everyone deserves respect regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation.

Talk About Sex
SIECUS wrote Talk About Sex to provide young people ages 16-24 with basic information about a range of sexuality topics, including a chapter on sexual orientation and gender identity, with referrals to reputable websites for more information.

Lesson Plans
SIECUS has compiled lesson plans on each of the 39 topics suggested by our Guidelines for Comprehensive Sexuality Education.
